I am very excited to feature the highly acclaimed Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) from Founders Brewing Company on the Find Your Craft Show.

I saved a version of KBS from last year (2017) and decided to crack it open with this year's (2018) version for comparison's sake. I'm glad that I did. Even though these brews are the 'same', the aromas, flavors, and characteristics of each were slightly different.

This year's KBS was definitely more boozy, though it did boast amazing aromas and flavors of burnt/toasted bread, molasses, coffee, etc. The 2017 version was just incredible. A year of aging really served this beer well, allowing for some of that booziness to mellow out and rather compliment the flavors of the stout rather than overpower them. Give me 2017 any day! Both of these beers were great, but the flavor profile of 2017 was just incredible; I was able to really pick out all of the amazing KBS flavors.

Just as an aside, I'm already cellaring a 2018 KBS to try with next year's 2019 version, so stay tuned for that!

Cheers to another amazing Founders beer! #BeerReview #Founders #Stout #FindYourCraft
