The Liquid Truth Serum IPA was a pleasant malt-forward IPA with just enough hoppiness. Pouring a hazy golden color with a prominent off-white head, this beer provided aromas of malty sweetness and breadiness on the nose combined with a hoppy, grassy aroma.
On the palate, the beer was pleasant, again providing a notable maltiness which manifested in flavors of toasted bread and light hints of caramel and toffee. The hoppiness came in mid-taste and lasted throughout, providing some grassy and floral notes, along with hints of oilyness.
The beer definitely lived up to the name of being 'truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter'. Cheers to Dogfish Head on a solid IPA! Cheers!
