Beer Review: Hoppy Hour Hero, Saranac Brewing Company

Writer's picture: JoshJosh

Name: Hoppy Hour Hero Style: Double India Pale Ale Brewery: Saranac Brewing Company 7.8% Alc/Vol 75 IBUs

My wife and daughter just got back from out of town, so I am just now getting around to making dinner. While cooking, I decided to crack open this Hoppy Hour Hero Mosaic IPA by Saranac Brewing Company.

Let’s just say…this is a great one guys. It was full of a variety of that great hoppy flavor you want in an IPA. The beer was pale golden in color with a moderate creamy head and just the slightest haze. Citrus and floral aromas hit the nose, preparing you for an amazing taste of hoppy goodness.

The flavor was excellent. The beer provided multiple hoppy flavors, credit to the variety of hops used in the brew. It was floral, citrusy, and piney at different phases of the taste. The brew had a medium mouth feel and finished off with a light bitterness. Also, for a double IPA, it was very easy to drink. Well done to Saranac on this one…it left me wanting more. Cheers! #BeerReview #IPA
